{Giveaway} Ushering in the Newness

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

For me, September is about fresh starts. I always look forward to it; it’s like a month-long New Year’s Day. I often make “resolutions” or set off on a changed path in September. It just represents newness and the planting of bright ideas.

I’ve felt that way for a long while, even after all these years being out of school. Now with the new house, my new book project, The Youngster’s new and proper Big Boy bed arriving this week, and his starting pre-K (ahem, I mean Kindergarden Preparatory) next week, that fresh-start feeling is on high. I’m so ready and excited to turn over a crisp, blank page.

To help usher in the newness, I’m happy to share with you MMM’s Marvelous Back-to-School Giveaway!

Here’s what’s up for grabs:

And all you have to do to be entered to win is leave a comment below about what you are most looking forward to this September/fall. That’s it. A few words thrown together into a coherent sentence (subjective; I know.) and you will be in the running to win!

I will be picking a random winner on September 6th. Stay tuned.

So, what are you waiting for? Commence the comment, my friend.

Okay, I was looking forward to not having to be my Kindergartener’s primary source of entertainment. He has been back in school for two weeks now (Los ANgeles is weird), and it’s been awesome.
Now I’m looking forward to scarves. I like scarves.

Ha! Jenni wins the Funny But True category. But, really, how fab are scarves, right?

I am most looking forward to sending my oldest to Kindergarten. Not only because it is momentous and all of that, but also because it means it will be a tad easier to get errands done during the day with only one child in tow! Seriously, I will miss him and worry about him, but going grocery shopping with just my 3 year old son will be so amazing! No sibling fights in the store, so I only have to make sure he stays sitting in the cart and doesn’t break anything. Yay’
